Hi, iam Gary Ryan, Have a Rock-and-Roll Day!

Is Yom Kippur Like Shabbat? [Solved]

On Shabbat, we are commanded to rest and refrain from work. We also have special prayers and blessings that are said on this day. On Yom Kippur, we fast for 25 hours and spend the day in prayer and reflection. We also ask for forgiveness from God for our sins.

So while both days involve a set of rules and rituals, they are very different in their purpose. Shabbat is a time to rest, celebrate, and connect with family while Yom Kippur is a time of repentance and atonement. So yeah, they’re pretty different!
